Kraemer Saucon Sock

When you think of Pennsylvania-based yarn companies, Kraemer, Kelbourne Woolens, and Plymouth Yarns should come to mind.

Kraemer, located in Nazareth, PA, has a long history of making quality yarns and fibers, and their Saucon Sock yarn is no exception. With 44% cotton, 43% acrylic, and 13% nylon, Saucon Sock is a lovely non-wool sock yarn that's great for cotton garments, accessories, household items, and toys. It packs 430 yards per skein, and is considered a superfine yarn, which means it works up as a light fingering.

I used Saucon Sock for Casapinka's Birdwatcher sweater for my mom last year, and it would be perfect for a lot of those fingering weight summer tops that have been super popular on Ravelry lately. It's also nice for making cotton socks for people who don't like wool.

Saucon Sock has some great colorways, too. Some are slightly marled while others are more solid.
